The famous face. I took this after having lunch at Aqua Dining which sits above North Sydney Olympic Pool, probably the best location for a public pool in the world. The face of Luna Park is embedded in all Sydneysider's minds, as the amusement park sits right on the harbour, under the bridge on the north side. It's been there since 1935. When I was seven, I won over 40 tickets for rides at Luna Park. That was huge! My Dad took me and a few of my closest seven year old friends for the day. Don't know how Dad managed not to lose any of us, but it was very exciting. He must have been tired after that.
